Wally isn’t just a mascot, he’s the spirit of the whole thing.
He represents the artists who never quite fit the mold and never wanted to. The ones who made noise in basements, stapled flyers at midnight, started bands with no plan, and showed up because they had to create.
He’s curious, a little chaotic, deeply devoted to the scene, and allergic to playing it safe. If this project has a heartbeat, Wally is the pulse reminding us that originality matters and being different is exactly the point.
BackStory
No one’s totally sure where Wally came from. Some say he drifted ashore in a fogged-out ferry terminal with a backpack full of mixtapes and a half-eaten burrito. Others say he lives in a milk crate full of burned CDs and punk patches in the back of a van somewhere outside Olympia. Wally doesn’t confirm or deny any of it.
He’s not in the book (because he was too busy flyering telephone poles and selling zines out of a messenger bag), but he’s part of the story and has always been.
Wally is the emotional support mascot for anyone who ever felt like the odd one out at a house show. He doesn’t follow the rules,. He follows the music.
After decades of sneaking around the edges of the scene, Wally’s ready to step into the spotlight…not for the glory, but to make sure you don’t miss the good stuff. Now, Wally’s stepped up as the voice of the newsletter and the spirit guide for all things weird, loud, and full of heart.
Weird is forever. And so is Wally.

If you ask him, he’ll say: “Alien? Monster? Sea creature? Look, I’ve been called worse. I crawled outta a feedback loop in a Tacoma basement and just kinda... stuck around.”
